Beginning

Let the fun begin! I have now created my official blog to write in about my senior project this year. For those of you, probably being solely my mother, and perhaps if I'm a lucky, a few of my caring friends, who actually decide to read this, I am doing my senior project as "my year as a mini med student". I will be working at MUSC hospital located in downtown Charleston as a lab intern looking and studying rat brains and strokes. I have prepped for this type of work all summer by doing various activities in Roper Hospital and MUSC as well as my Junior Internship with Dr. Hamilton, a wonderful OB/ Gyn. I have experienced various medical adventures such hysterectomies, deliveries wether be a c-section or a vaginal delivery, I've actually gotten to help with both of them, tubals, witnessing a death/ recitation, charting, taking patients vitals without the nurses assistance, a gal bladder removal, and many more exciting and nerve racking events. I can't wait to see what happens in the year ahead of me!
